Finding your practice again

Life sometimes gets in the way of our yoga practice - it happens to us all. We all live busy lives - the nature of our modern world.

Ideally our yoga practice is our anchor when we are busy - some physical and mental daily practice goes a long way to keep our body feeling strong and free, and our mind balanced. But it isn’t always possible to roll out the mat or attend a class.

Knowing that is ok.

The beauty of yoga is that it is always there to come back to. Each time we come back to our yoga mat or come back to our yoga class it is some kind of new beginning. We can see this as exciting - seeing what we will discover again, rather than worrying about what we can no longer do or what the teacher or others might think of our practice.

From a teacher’s point of view, we love it when familiar faces return to class. And once you do, it is often a feeling of relief that the yoga community is still there - like a comfy slipper. Please know that you are always welcome to return to yoga. There is no judgment on what you feel you can no longer do or that you haven’t practiced for a while. You will always be welcome. Come visit a class when you can. We’d love to see you.
